Will he ever talk?

Coleman the man is 17 months old and a barrel of fun energy. He is so smart and pretty much can do anything you ask him to do. He will get his own dish out, help empty the dishwasher, find his shoes, etc. There is one thing he doesn't do...Talk. He grunts to tell you to look at something or if he needs something. He will make animal sounds and on a rare occasion you might hear him partially say a word. I have experienced this just once. I am not really concerned and daily we read books, talk about object and try to get him to talk. His only response is a scrunched nose smile. It is as if he is saying, "You crazy people want me to do what??"  I know that all of a sudden it will click and he will grace us with his words. Until then we have learned the multiple meanings of "UH! UH!

Fire Station Visit

We visited the Gainesville Fire Station 1 on Monday. We had a great time! The firemen were so nice and were so good to the kiddos. Afterwards we enjoyed a yummy lunch with daddy at Double D Burgers:) Fun Times!

It's Been A Good Day

I can't believe that I got up this morning before 6 am, this after not going to bed until 1am. Just can't sleep these days. Seems like I have a lot of stuff to do. I was able to read my bible this morning (trying to have some quite time each day) and drink my coffee in peace until about 8am. It was so nice, but by 3 I was dragging.

We swept the porch this morning and the girls finally played in the pool and loved it. Cole sat in his stroller watching while I tried mow. Our yard is in dire need of a cut! It has been raining on and off and is so HOT that no one wants to do it:( While mowing I ran out of grass and then the mower was smokin' a little. I don't think it is a good idea for me to use the mower though it always seems to break when I ride it.

Looking forward to going out to eat at the Melting Pot on Sunday for our anniversary which was Wednesday( 9 years!!!) Next year for 10 we are going to do something semi big:) not sure what.

Here is a collage picture of Coleman for his 6 months birthday.

Happy 6 months Coleman!!!

Coleman you are six months old today!! You are a man on the go for sure. You are all over the place crawling just a bit or dragging your body across the floor to anything you desire. Your sisters LOVE you and argue about who talks to you first in the morning.
You are eating cereal, carrots, sweet potatoes, pears, bananas, and soon green peas;)
I had really forgotten how messing it is feeding a baby. You love to blow raspberries while eating thus spreading puree everywhere. I have to admit is is so funny and your sisters were cracked up by it.
We are off to your Dr appointment shortly. Can't wait to see how much you weigh
Here are some photos of you on your 6 month birtday. I will post more tomorrow.

You weighed 19 lbs 9 oz and 27 inches long

We love you Coleman!

Kid's Week

We finished up our Kid's Week at our church. It is like VBS on steroids. We had a great time this week and it always fun to see all the kids having such a great time learning about God. I work on the craft team which is the best:) Tonight was parent night so there was a presentation of the teams and we even had a parent vs. kids dodgeball game. I think that should be a weekly event. I love our church and so glad we were able to find such a wonderful group of people that love the Lord!

This week I was playing around on Picnik.com with some photos. I am using all the free parts right now but my sign up for the year plan. It is only $25! Here are a couple of pictures I had fun with

Busy Day!

What a day this Saturday has been. We were up early to drop off the car to have some work done. Then we got some soil for some raised beds we are working on. After lunch we headed to a dual graduation party. Shelby then had her dress rehearsal for her dance recital. Allen watched and video taped (because you had to have tickets and we didn't buy extras) and Cole, Karly and I stayed outside. Cole had a little snack and then we shopped at Hobby Lobby ( I love that store!)
We ended the evening with some grilling and watched Iron Man. I am worn out!
